PASSWORDBOX PARTNERS WITH NYMI WRISTBAND THAT ENABLES YOU TO LOGIN ON MOBILE

Bionym the Nymi armband is
teaming up with PasswordBox with the aim  making it possible to authenticate your mobile logins using your heart rate automatically, for super fast
access to websites, devices and services.

This innovation promises to offer secure, unique authentication and identification of its users (Nyim) based on their ECG or heart rate. This partnership allows Nymi to automatically log you into all your stored services, based on proximity and gesture detection, making the need to remember all those things and enter them manually irrelevant. PasswordBox is a login locker app that stores passwords securely and allows you to access them anywhere for quick and easy retrieval.

Nymi works with PasswordBox’s existing “1-Tap” login feature, which normally requires just a
single tap to enter your login info on mobile devices. Which has already removed due to Nymi integration. Which is set to launch later this year.

PasswordBox normally works on a subscription model, but as part of the deal between the app maker and the armband maker, every Nymi pre-order both existing and through July 2015  will receive a free subscription to its services.

WATCH OUT FOR HTC ONE (M8) MINI, COMING SOON IN MAY

More than six days now after the M8 was officially launched, reports from a UK retailer confirms that HTC is currently working on a mini version of  HTC One (M8) . The HTC One (M8) mini will keep the new 90% aluminum unibody design. The device is rumored to come with a 4.5" display of unknown resolution, but we think HTC will probably stick to 720p for the mini. We have no information on the chipset, but apparently the HTC One (M8) mini will come with a single UltraPixel camera on its back. The UltraPixel duo will be a reserved key feature to the M8 flagship only.

The HTC One mini is also rumored to be launched in May. This means that HTC fans should get ready, and we hope that it'll come in an affordable price that will pocket-friendly.

FACEBOOK BUILDING DRONES TO DELIVER AFFORDABLE INTERNET TO EVERYONE

Facebook is at it again, the most populated social network is inventing new technologies to deliver affordable Internet access to everyone.

Facebook announced on Thursday that it's working to troubleshoot the technical and financial obstacles to bringing the Internet to the rest of the world with a team that it's calling Facebook Connectivity Lab .

The lab, which is closely linked with Facebook's Internet.org which initiative, is building "drones, satellites, and lasers to deliver the internet to everyone," Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a post published to his social-network Timeline.

The Connectivity Lab team, is tasked with the invention of new technology to provide affordable Internet access for all. The reveal coincides with the social network's decision to bring aboard five aerospace experts from the UK company Ascenta.

"Our team has many of the world's leading experts in aerospace and communications technology,
including from NASA's Jet
Propulsion Lab and Ames Research Center,"
Zuckerberg said.
"Today we are also bringing on key members of the team from Ascenta, a small UK-based company whose founders created early versions of Zephyr, which became the world's longest flying solar-powered unmanned aircraft. They will join our team working on connectivity aircraft."

To be precise, the Connectivity Lab team is working on something called free-space optical communication (FSO), which uses light to transmit data through space with infrared laser beams. In some suburban areas, Facebook
will use long-endurance aircraft to port reliable Internet connections, and in lower density areas the
company is testing low-Earth orbit satellites to beam Internet access to the ground.

either.

FAKE GOOGLE APPS NOW ON WINDOWS PHONE STORE

To all Windows Phone users that are expecting to download Google apps on Windows Phones Store, beware of Fake apps!

A good number of users could be target for scams using fake versions of Google apps, like the ones we have seen hit the Windows Phone Store recently.

Luckily, these fakes aren't exactly the most well-made fakes around. The most deceiving part of the scam is that the publisher for the apps is listed as "Google, Inc.", whereas the real Google is listed as "Google Inc." (no comma).
Check out:
         - Microsoft To Change The Ranking Of 'Top Games' On Windows Phone

Once you get past that, the fakes are relatively easy to spot. The first major red flag is that all of the apps (Hangouts, Maps, Search, Voice, and Google+) are listed at $1.99, when it is pretty common knowledge that Google is all about free services.

The screenshots for the Google+ app are obviously just taken from the mobile website through IE, and the Google Voice screenshot isn't even showing the correct app. Instead, it is showing an app for voice memos.

Obviously, we don't expect that any of these apps will last too long in the Windows Phone Store, but in the meantime, we wanted to bring attention to the fakes apps.

This is a similar issue of fake BBM apps on Google play store some months back.

Microsoft needs to be security alert of such occurrence and try to fix it before users fall victims of the scam or What Do You Think?

MOZILLA APPOINTS JAVASCRIPT INVENTOR AS NEW CEO

Last April, Mozilla announced that Gary Kovacs was stepping down as the organization’s CEO and that it would start looking for a
replacement.

At the time, Jay Sullivan took over as acting CEO in the midst of a number of leadership changes at Mozilla.

Today, after almost a year of
looking for a new CEO, Mozilla
announced that JavaScript creator and current Mozilla CTO Brendan Eich would become its new CEO, effective immediately.

“I would first like to thank Jay
Sullivan for his contributions to Mozilla and to the Web. He has been a passionate force at Mozilla whose leadership, especially during the last year, has been important to our success, in particular with Firefox OS. Thank you, Jay!”

said Eich in a statement today.

“I am honored to have the role of leading Mozilla, as we look forward to our audacious goals across all of our products and the project as a whole.”

Eich joined Netscape back in April 1995, where he created JavaScript. Later, he was among the founding members of the Mozilla Foundation, which was spun out of AOL in 2003 before it shut down Netscape development completely in 2007. Mozilla named him as its CTO in 2005.

In its announcement today, Mozilla says that Eich
“brings Mozilla’s founding vision and boldness to our current initiatives. These traits are a unique asset, as Mozilla brings openness and choice through new initiatives such as Firefox OS and cloud services.”

SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 NOW ON SALE IN KOREA BEFORE ITS OFFICIAL RELEASE

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is on sale in Korea ahead of its official release date, and no-one's more surprised than Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is on sale now in South Korea, two weeks early -- much to Samsung's surprise.

The S5 is set to go on sale aroundbthe world on 11 April, hitting shop shelves in 150 countries before thevmonth is out. But the wait is too long for impatient South Korean carrier SK Telecom, which has madevthe phone available today for around 866,800 won.
Check out:
         - Samsung Galaxy S5

Korean networks were keen to get the S5 into the hands of phone fans early because they're not allowed to sign up new customers in parts of April and May, as punishment from the government for illegally subsidising new customers.
The sanctions mean SK Telecom, KT Corp and LG Uplus Crop would have had to sit on their hands as the S5's official release date came and went.

So SK Telecom has defied Samsung and started shifting the S5 early.

"We just wanted to provide the device to local users as soon as possible. It is for the good of our subscribers," an official from SK Telecom told Korea Herald.

Samsung boss JK Shin said
yesterday that the S5 would not go on sale early, but it appears SK has gone ahead anyway.

Forthcoming devices to use Android Wear also include Motorola's planned Moto 360.

THE HTC ONE 2014 CODENAMED M8 IS NOW OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED - WHAT'S NEW? [CHECK IT OUT]

The HTC One (M8) is now official and most of the rumors we've seen so far came out true.

What are the official Specs?

The smartphone sports a unibody made of 90% metal as opposed to 70% for its predecessor giving it an even sleeker look.

The One (M8) screen has been
bumped from a 4.7" unit to a 5", while retaining the 1080p
resolution. Side bezels have been slimmed down and hardware keys have been replaced by on-screen ones so the difference in size
compared to the original One is minial.

The front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers that we so enjoyed on the original One are back for another round with the M8. This year's HTC flagship is said to be 25% louder, too.

As far as processing power goes, the HTC One (M8) offers a Snapdragon 801 chipset with a 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

The storage options are 16
GB and 32 GB but the M8 will allow expansion by up to 128 GB through the microSD card slot.

HTC One (M8) The Android version is 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6 on top. One of the coolest new features brought by the updated package is Motion Launch, which lets you quickly open the camera or unlock the phone while the screen is off. Picking up the One (M8) in landscape mode and pressing the volume button will launch the camera. There's double tap or slide up from the bottom to wake the phone. While locked you can pick up the phone in portrait mode and swipe left on its screen to launch the widget panel or right for BlinkFeed.

A newly introduced extreme Power Saving Mode promises to give you up to 30 hours of running by using just 10% of the One (M8)'s 2,600 mAh battery.
Check out:
         - HTC ONE (M8) Full Specs Before It Was Launched Officially

The camera department of the HTC One (M8) features a 4MP camera with 1/3" sensor, 2 micron-sized pixels and f/2.0 aperture plus a second camera located above it meant to gather depth information. HTC calls this Duo Camera. It mimics the stereoscopic abilities of the human eye - two independent lenses able to calculate the relative distance of the subjects in an image.
HTC's dual camera setup enables cool effects such as selective focus (shallow depth of field) and post-shot refocusing.
The front-facing camera is a wide-angle 5 MP unit making it a huge jump from last year's 2.1 MP.

Unfortunately, the optical image stabilization of the original One is now gone, and the One (M8) will rely solely on digital stabilization to do its magic. Similarly to Apple, HTC has improved the flash of the smartphone by using a two toned one - one cold and one warm LED, which can help the smartphone produce more accurate color tones in low-light conditions.

HTC claims the One (M8) can focus in just 0.3s.

The HTC One comes with a variety of accessories like the Flip Case, Double Dip case (each in three colors), Dot View case (showing you alarms, events, calls, battery,
weather and more in a colorful dotted way) and more.

Coming in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold the HTC One (M8) will be available in select markets starting today. It will roll out across 230 carriers in Europe,North America, Asia-Pacific, China, Africa and the Middle East.

How much do you think will it cost you to get your hands on this super cool phone?

PURCHASE OF NOKIA BY MICROSOFT DELAYED TILL APRIL

Despite receiving all of the
necessary confirmations in the US and Europe, Microsoft will need to wait a little longer than expected to finalize its $7.45 billion acquisition of Nokia.

Originally expected to close in
the first quarter of 2014, both
companies today issued a
progress report on the deal,
explaining that while things were moving well in Asia, it may take until April for regulators there to give it the green light.

While the necessary reviews are being conducted, Microsoft is wasting no time advertising its future smartphone union, stating that it will "accelerate our mobile-first, cloud-first imperatives." That, of course, means getting more Windows Phone handsets in customers' hands, something new Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella believes it can do a lot quicker once Nokia becomes part of the family.

MICROSOFT TO CHANGE THE RANKING OF 'TOP GAMES' ON WINDOWS PHONE STORE

Microsoft has received a number of complaints from Windows Phone users who are unhappy with the way apps are separated in the Windows Phone Store.

Previously, the Redmond based company ranked 'Top Games' based on the number of downloads a game received over time. But that apparently led to a number of games being placed on the list that didn't deserve the
honor.

Thanks to a memo sent to a
Windows Phone game developer that details the new system, it appears that Microsoft has a brand new algorithm for determining if a particular game should be included in the 'Top Games' list.

According to the memo, Microsoft now takes into consideration a game's customer ratings, how often it has been pinned or unpinned to the Start screen, and how often the app crashes.

The goal of the change is to reward Windows Phone game developers who make sure that they offer quality games with good performance and high customer satisfaction.

VERIZON TO GET HTC ONE (M8) FOR 2 WEEKS ON MARCH 25TH

According to a reports, Verizon will be exclusively offering the HTC One 2014 (M8) in the US on March 25 - the day HTC makes the phone official.

Reportedly, the exclusivity will live on for "a couple of weeks."

If this turns out to be true, then AT&T, which is currently holding a special promo giving away 5 HTC One 2014s from March 21 to March 25, is going to be offering the device from the middle of April at the earliest. The same applies for Sprint, T-Mobile and other US carriers.

All New HTC One with Verizon
branding HTC is announcing the HTC One 2014 on March 25 and plans to make the phone availbale in selected UK retail stores on the very same day .

The device will then hit additional 110 global markets in two weeks' time.

APPLE TO RETAIN 8MP RESOLUTION ON THE NEW IPHONE 6

Apple will not be interested in increasing the megapixel count of its next iPhone smartphone camera according to Sources with some knowledge of the matter.

Instead Apple will likely focus on improving the lens system and image quality.

Check out:
         - 8gb Version Of iPhone 5c Set To Be Launched By Apple

Previous rumors suggested the iPhone 6 camera may be bumped to 10 MP with a faster F/1.8 aperture (the iPhone 5s is currently sporting an F/2.2 lens) so perhaps the aperture will remain.

Rumors are circulating that Apple will use swappable resin lenses for its iPhone 6.

Other rumors have suggested optical image stabilization but seeing how Apple is doing some clever gyro-based software tricks in the iPhone 5s to avoid OIS it seems unlikely the company will change its mind in the next flagship.

If Apple indeed retains the 8 MP resolution which debuted on the iPhone 4S camera, it will go against the current trend of manufacturer increasing megapixel count in their smartphones' cameras recently.

Report reaching us now confirms that Samsung is releasing a small batch of S5s to shops in selected
countries, including the UK,
starting today.

The "Global Preview " starts in the US and Switzerland today, with Samsung promising it "will be expanded" to the UK, China,
Germany and other major
countries.

"We listened closely to our
consumers when designing these products,"
said Younghee Lee, Samsung's executive vice president of global marketing,
"and we want to give as many customers as possible the enough chance to experience of Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit before they purchase."

The S5 is sure to be one of the
biggest hits of the year, although it doesn't look radically different to the S4.

Its fingerprint and heart-rate sensors are its main new selling points, with the ability to confirm PayPal purchases using a swipe of your finger a potential game-changer.

The Gear Fit was the gadget
Samsung released at MWC. All of Samsung's new gadgets go on sale on 11 April around the world and we'll have full reviews of each and every one by the time they do.

TWITTER NEW TIMELINE CALLED FAVE PEOPLE - YOUR FAVORITE TWITTER USERS

Twitter is experimenting with a new feature called “Fave People,” which allows you to keep track of your favorite Twitter users and accounts in a separate timeline.

This feature, essentially a more user-friendly version of Twitter’s “Lists,” recently appeared in the alpha version of Twitter’s Android application – the app where the company tests new features and changes before rolling them out to beta testers, and then, finally, to the general public.

The alpha app currently uses a
“swipeable” menu across the top for navigation in between sections like Home, Discover, Activity, and more.

Fave People has a fairly prominent position there, at
least for now, as it’s placed directly to the right of the main (“Home”) timeline. When you tap into this section for the first time, the app explains how Fave People works,
saying:
Keep track of your favorites
Tap the star icon on the
profiles of your favorite people to see their Tweets in this timeline. You can also chose to receive notifications when they tweet from Settings.

A button beneath this message lets you hop into your “Following” section in order to start picking out your favorite fellow Twitter users.

This could be a bit of a time-
consuming process for those who follow hundreds, thousands or even more, on Twitter.

LATEST SMARTPHONE: OPPO'S FIND 7 - 50 MP PHOTOS

Chinese manufacturer Oppo has taken the wraps off its latest flagship smartphone, the Find 7.

With an enormous 5.5-inch display and up to QHD (2560×1440) resolution, the Find 7 rivals the latest flagships from Samsung and Sony, boasting 538 pixels per inch.
Check out:
         - Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Launched

The top-end Find 7 model also features a 2.5GHz Qualcomm
Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 3000mAh battery.

There is also a cheaper version with a downgraded display (1080p) which will be available.

But the major talking point is the Find 7′s camera. It’s got a 13-megapixel Sony IMX214 sensor, but software trickery allows it to shoot up to 50-megapixel images though a “Super Zoom” feature.

The Oppo Find 7 will go on sale “very soon” directly through Oppo’s website in various markets. The 1080p model will be priced at #83,000 or #98,000 for the
