WHY SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 WON'T SELL IN NIGERIA

Samsung Mobile flagship smartphone, Galaxy S5 was launched on the 11th of April. There's no doubt that the high-end device is one of the most highly anticipated smartphones in the Q1 of 2014. Compared to its rival HTC ONE M8, Galaxy S5 was even sold out in Korea before it's launch date in order to satisfy the anxiety and curiousity of consumers.
Check out:
         - Samsung Galaxy S5 On Sale Before Official Release

Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with unique and interesting features that makes it different among others. It enables camera from the lock screen, fingerprint scanner located inside the Home button, heart rate monitor on the back just under the camera port also water and dust resistant. It also include key specs like 2.5 GHZ Quadcore application processor, 16MP rear camera, 2800 mAH battery life and Android 4.4.2 kitkat.
Check out:
         - Samsung Galaxy S5 Full Specs

However, there are possibilities that Galaxy S5 won't sell much as expected in Nigeria. Wondering why?

Price:

In a country like Nigeria where the minimum wage of an average worker is #20,000. In a country where an average citizen lives below a dollar per day. Would you prefer to "Cut your coat according to your size" or rather "Cut your cloth according to your cloth"?

It's only 4 out of 100 nigerians that can afford to 'close their two eyes' to buy Galaxy S5 which is presently worth over #110,000. 1 a politician, 2 an entertainer eg. musician, 3 a pastor & a Cyber criminal i.e Yahoo Boys. *Lol*
Check out:
         - Why Tecno Is Still Nigerians Choice Of Smartphone in 2014

I agree that the device is of high quality which I guess it actually worths the price. With #110,000 I would rather go for a Laptop maybe HP 2000 Corei 3(6GB) worth #85,000. With a balance of #25,000 left to purchase any other smartphone of your choice.

Come to think of it, you purchase Galaxy S5 after some time it becomes scrap and you sell it like a Tecno Phone - is that sensible?

Second Choice:

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is just like any other smartphone out there. I still emphasize that the device is unique beyond every reasonable doubt but there's so much similar alternatives. Aseize Okaztle
even compared Samsung Galaxy S5 to Sony Xperia Z2, is Z2 better than S5?
I do advice people that before you purchase any gadget, ask yourself: Why do I need it? Will it Satisfy my needs? What's so special about Galaxy S5 that you can't get on HTC, Nexus, Sony, or even Tecno at a reasonable price?

No wonder Nosa Ero Nosa post that Galaxy S5 was considered as a piece of cheap plastic by HTC president.
This post is basically just my own opinion, I'm not trying to blacklist or downgrade any product. Criticism sometimes is good for the business.

If you have any contributions, drop your comments lets hear you out.

5 IMPORTANT ANDROID APPS FOR EVERY BLOGGER

Are you a blogger? What do you use majorly for blogging, PC or Phone? Do you know that not every blogger can afford a PC? So, you intend to quit blogging because you don't a PC when you can afford a Smartphone for the meantime. This article is dedicated to bloggers that don't have neither a Laptop nor a Deskstop computer but would never give up on blogging.  Since I started blogging last year (2013), I have never updated a single blog post on PC. All I have been using to update my blog is my Android phone. Though my traffic can't be compared to some big blogs like that of Thatnaijablog or Ogbongeblog but at least I can boast of more than 15,000 organic page views/month on my 4 months old tech blog.

As a blogger, there are certain techniques and tools which you require in order to make your blog a success - that is if you're really serious about blogging.

These are the apps I consider a serious blogger should have on his smartphone to improve your blogging:-

1. Download Manager/ UC Browser

Download Manager:-

If you're a blogger using blogger platform, what do you observe whenever you're using opera mini to browse your dashboard? You can't view it completely, right?
As a good blogger, it's very important that you keep a tab on your blog performance whether you're checking your pageviews or your adsense earnings. Don't forget that this post is for bloggers using their android to blog, so do you achieve this when the great opera mini doesn't show your full dashboard.
Well, what I simply do is that I make use of another browser called Download Manager.
With Download manger I can see my complete dashboard with full flexibility and I can even edit my blogger layout too. I describe Download Manager as "my PC browser" simply because I don't need to borrow a laptop or go to the Cafe before I can edit, update or delete anything on my blog.

Other Features:
*Tabbed browsing
*Support for HTTP basic
*authentication for web pages
*Simple and clean user interface
*Bookmark manager
Check out other features and Download HERE

UC Browser:-

Basically I don't use this app frequently because I find it too slow compared to Opera mini.
The main reason why this browser is on my list is because I can use it to take screenshots of any web page and I can also edit the it. It also enables me to read any pdf files without using any app.  If you are an entertainment blogger I believe you know the usefulness of screenshoting important text or pictures because it plays a very important role in your blog post thereby enriching your content for more traffic.

Other Features:
*Web Application Center-
Easily find the best web apps and enjoy mobile life without worrying about constantly downloading, installing and updating.
*Image Viewer- All the pictures on the current webpage are put together in one place for you to view, just like in a photo album.
*UC Homescreen Widget-
Use this add-on to create a widget on your home screen for easy access to rich services on UC Browser.
*More Languages and Fonts
Supports more regional languages and fonts on webpages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and more.
*General Improvements-
Improvements to key functions such as typing, moving forward & backward, font adjustment, etc.
Check out more Features and Download HERE

2. Facebook Page Manager

It's only a newbie blogger that doesn't know the importance of a Facebook fan page. That will be another topic I intend to write later.

Using an ordinary browser like Opera mini, Download Manager or UC web to manage your facebook has certain limits. For example: if you use opera mini when you receive message on you fan page, you can't see it but you'll get the notification on your facebook timeline. Another example, let's say you want to upload a picture on your facebook fan page and you're using opera mini. Well, if you're a consistent blogger like me that has alot of pictures on my phone you'll find it time consuming to search through all the pictures you have on your phone. True or false?
So what I do is that I make use of this app to control anything I want on my fan page(s). The flexibility and ease at which I find this app useful baffles me. I can even promote my page via facebook adverts too on this app.

Other Features:
*Post updates and photos and respond to comments as your Pages
*View and reply to private messages sent to your Pages
*View your latest Page Insights
* Attach a photo to a status update
*Post and promote at the same time
Check out more features and Download HERE

3. Opera Mini

If you're a mobile blogger and you are not using opera mini browser, I bet that you have nothing less than 50 page views per day. This is the fastest browser I've ever used! If I don't open opera mini for one day it's either I don't have data plan on my phone or I don't want to blog - the funny part is I can't do without blogging. I believe that has a blogger you know the positive role social medias plays  in making your blog successful.
Using opera mini enables me to promote my blog on different social media (facebook, twitter, google+, etc) and in forums like Nairaland and Naijaloaded. I share my blog post on google+, twitter and facebook with this app. 80% of whatever my blog is today was made possible through opera mini because I do almost everything on it. No wonder when I check the major browsers in Traffic source, opera mini browser is always at the top. I recommend this app as a great tool for your blogging life.

Other Features:
*Set all your favourite websites on the home screen of your browser with Speed Dial. There’s no limit to the number of entries you can add.
*Find out what’s happening  with Smart Page. It delivers instant updates from Facebook, Twitter and the latest news.
*Multitask and switch between open pages with tabs.
*Save pages to read later, or for times you’re not connected to the internet.
*Get music, movies and more when it’s convenient for you with the download manager.
Check out more features and download HERE

4. Picsart

As a blogger you should understand that there are two common things your readers look out for when they visit your blog.

1. New and interestingly rich content
2. Images

All bloggers know that number 1 is compulsory but not all bloggers utilize number 2. To be sincere, I can't read a content more than 100+ words without images because it'll be very boring.  As a matter of fact I hardly read the ones with few images. For example, a blogger posted;
TOP 10 SMARTEST DOGS IN THE WORLD.
A very catchy blog title but when clicked on it, I only saw a rich content wasted due to lack of images - how do you expect your readers to understand you? And I hope you know that the more your readers get frustrated, the more they'll hate to visit your blog thereby decreasing your Page views.

Actually, I wanted you to see the importance of images to your blog posts. My main point here is that it's necessary for every mobile blogger to have a Photo Editor app on the smartphone you use for blogging. The best photo editor that I'll recommend for you is Picsart. Picsart enables you to customize your images to your taste.

There's one special thing I like about this app apart from its normal image editing feature is that whenever I download images from the internet, sometimes the images won't show because of the image format e.g .aspx all I have to do is just Save the image and the image format will automatically change to .jpg
Not all photo editor apps can do this, believe me.

Other features:
*PicsArt transforms your smartphone pictures into works of art
*Their app allows you to create artwork from photos with a functionality close to what you get on expensive professional tools like Photoshop. But PicsArt is free and requires no instructions or training.
Check out more Features and Download HERE

5. Blogger/Wordpress

Blogger app:-

Finally, there's no how you want to blog on your smartphone with these apps. The Blogger app is for bloggers on Blogger platform while Wordpress is for bloggers on Wordpress platform. I'm on Blogger platform so I make use of Blogger app which I find easy and convenient to Publish and Save my posts.

Other Features (Blogger app):
* Compose a post that you can save to draft or immediately publish
* Edit existing posts
* View list of your saved and
published posts
* Switch account/blog if you have more than one
* Embed an image from the gallery, or, by taking a picture directly from the app
* Add labels to your posts
* Add location information
Check out more Features and Download HERE

Wordpress app:-

WordPress for Android puts the power of publishing in your hands, making it easy to create and consume content. Write, edit, and publish posts to your wordpress site, check stats, and get inspired with great posts in the Reader.

Other features (Wordpress app):
* Refresh button has been replaced by a pull to refresh gesture.
* Stats have been optimized to load and scroll faster than ever before.
* Posts and Pages now support infinite scroll.
* Media upgrades let you see
content faster and scroll more
smoothly.
* Better post editor, uses less of your device's memory when adding
media to a post.

WHY TECNO IS STILL NIGERIANS NO. 1 CHOICE OF ANDROID PHONE IN 2014

The Blackberry era has come and gone, almost everyone is dancing  to a different tune of music which has been the advent of Android Smartphones.

Though not that there was no Android device previously but I guess it was considered not pocket-friendly to most Nigerians. That's where the chinese company comes into the scene, Tecno Android Smartphones. No doubt that Tecno was the turning point for all nigerians to own a smartphone.

If you could remember back then when ladies use Nokia phones including the so called 'Torchlight Phones', they always try to hide it in their bags when going to occasions. But if they had a BB that's when you'll see them flaunting it at every instance as if they are Blackberry Ambassadors and pretending to be pinging even though they don't have BIS.

Without further ado, I'll be discussing with you the reason why Tecno is still the highest selling Smartphone this year and why you should consider getting one.

1. PRICE:

There's no doubt that Tecno brand of Android Phones is the cheapest in the Nigeria Phone Market. You don't  expect me to waste #5,500 on Nokia X (Nokia owns Android phone) worth #19,500 instead of buying Tecno L3 worth #14,000. These two Phones have virtually similar Specs; 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, Android Jellybean OS with L3 even having higher battery life of 2400mAh compared to 1500mAh of Nokia X.
A friend of mine on facebook, Samuel Ogunlade once said "Why do Nigerians consider price of phones rather than the specs? ".
Why waste excess on similar quality whereas you can get it cheaper?

2. RESPONSIVE AND RELIABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE:

There's nothing more relieving than having a problem and getting a reliable and lasting solution to it. Last year a close friend of mine (Hakeem Yusuf) bought Tecno P3 from Etisalat Store at Adeniran Ogunsanya, Surulere. Due to the fact that he was not used to Touchscreen phones, he accidentally broke the screen of the phone. I was like 'Ha! Hakeem you're too clumsy, what are you going to do now? ' After two days, he got a new screen from Tecno Office at ikeja - he was covered (12 months warranty). I was so convinced beyond every reasonable doubt that I'll buy a Tecno Android.
Why worry about faults on your Tecno phone when there's customer service you can rely on?

3. NOT 1 BUT 2 SIM:

The most compelling reason why I find Tecno Android phones handy is because of the Dual sim feature. I'm a blogger an I engage into different online and offline business which you don't expect me to rely on only network for my transactions. If one network is not active the other one will surely function. The flexibility of using two Sims makes it cool. You're always in control switching your network whenever anyone fails to satisfy your browsing need. Moreover, why do I need an Android phone in the first place?

Finally, though Tecno also has it's own negative side just like every other brand of Smartphones which
Nosa Ero Nosa reveals the Flaws of Tecno Android Phones
I don't see any reason why Tecno will launch similar phones without any noticeable advancement from the previous ones. Take an instance, what's the difference between Tecno P5 and H5? Anyways, I'm not too surprised because Nokia is also guilty of it in thier own era.

If you consider to buy a Tecno Android phone, check out the List Of Tecno Phones /& Their Prices
by Jide Ogunsanya. Now, let's kmow your say about Tecno, which Tecno Android Phone are you using now OR which one do you wish to buy?

WHY YOU SHOULD AND SHOULD NOT BUY THE NOKIA ANDROID PHONE

I saw this post on Nairaland forum, which I find informative to an extent. I hope you do take your time to go through his opinion.

Why Should I Buy A Nokia Android Phone?

1. Battery:
One thing the local market has come to know Nokia phones for is their terrific battery life. Everyone using
one of Nokia’s lower end phones (especially those nicknamed “torchlight” phones) can attest to the steady power of Nokia’s batteries.
Expectation is rife that Nokia
continues the trend with their X series which would be awesome as most people are seeking out Android phones with vextended battery life.

2. Cheaper:
At not much over $120, the
Nokia X series phones would line up as some of the cheapest Android phones by a name brand company. It is expected not to cost over N27000 in the local market so if you are looking to buy a brand new Android phone without breaking your account or buying a Tecno, you have a very viable alternative in the X series.

3. Attractive:
Having designed the X series in the model of their Asha
series, the Nokia X series phones come in a variety of
cool colours that could match your taste in color and some of your outfits!

4. Popular Brand:
I’ve heard quite a number of people complain about having to buy Tecno phones because they are “Chinese”. While that is a really pointless argument, Nokia have provided an actual name brand, mid-range to low end
Android phone for such consumer demographic. Now you can buy a phone and not have to hide the brand name on the case!

Why You Should Not Buy A Nokia Android

1. Specs:
One would have expected
Nokia’s first foray into the Android market to be a bit more adventurous than what they have produced. 8mp camera power and at least 1gb of RAM have become industry standard for mid-range Android devices.

With none of Nokia’s three X series phones meeting these specs, one feels a tad
disappointed at their effort.
Check out:
         - Nokia Android Specs

2. A different UI:
If you are used to the stock/generic Android interface, the
UI on Nokia’s X series phones might surprise you.

The User Interface is designed to mimic Microsoft Windows Phone 8′s metro UI, something most Android users are not familiar with.

Now while other manufacturers have custom user interfaces (HTC has HTC Sense and Samsung has their Nature UI), Nokia’s X series UI is quite a departure from
the traditional Android interface.

3. No Play Store or stock Google apps:
One of the awesome things about Android phones is the Google Play Store that gives you access to and makes so much easier for you to download and install your favorite apps on your Android device.

Well, not on the X series. Nokia’s X series will ship without Google’s stock android apps (Play Store, Play Services, Play Music, Google Maps, Hangouts, Google Plus
etc).

Now while Nokia will replace most of them (a Nokia store will stand in for play store, Skype, Microsoft Outlook, etc), you can’t help but feel you will be getting a little less functionality and doing a little more work to get certain things running.

For instance, adding a Google account with an Android devices signs you on to your Google account with all Google apps (hangouts, play store, YouTube, gmail etc) and keeps your contacts backed up on Google contacts. It remains to be seen what alternative Nokia is going to use in their place.

Nokia has, however assured that 75% of apps on the play store would be compatible with their phones and those that aren’t can easily be ported but wouldn’t it be much easier to have them all in one place? Say, Play Store?
Eh, Nokia?

My own view about the Nokia Android is straight-forward, if it doesn't have the specs I want - No need of getting it...

What's your say?

You're welcome, we all know that Google is the best search engine on the web and it ranks as No. 1 in the world based Alexa rankings.

To some people, the take Google as an Online school to learn anything in the world.

To get the most out of Google search, you must instruct the search engine to bring exactly what you want.

Since Google is the largest search engine in the world, i'll share with you some tricks on

How To Search Like A Pro On
Google.

Make use of these tips below:

1. Use of Quotation Marks and Key Phrases when looking for something on Google.

Envelope the key word with quotation marks to instruct the search engine to bring all about what you searching for.
For example:

and nothing else.

2. Time Range Search

If you want to know about the La Liga between 2011 to 2014.

3. Document Type Search

If you are looking for a particular file type, let's say a PDF file.
For example:
You can instruct Google to look for PDF files on Technology by typing in
"Filetype: PDF Technology".

For word file replace PDF with docx, for PowerPoint files put in ppt, for excel type in xls.

4. Inclusive Search

If you want search engine to bring up two terms in the search, like Apple and Mac.

For example:
Just type Apple OR Mac.

5. Searching for Word Definition

You don't need to type a word on Google and start looking for dictionary definition on dictionary sites.
For example:
To get a definition on Google
just type "define: word" and the definition would pop up on top page.

COMMON FACEBOOK MISTAKES YOU SHOULD AVOID IN 2014 [MUST SEE]

There is a wise saying Nobody is above Mistakes. Mostly, when we browse our social medias like facebook we are however prone to mistakes whether is in our statuses, comments, message, etc

Yes/No?

Today, I'll be discussing with you some certain facebook mistakes we should avoid and their possible solution.

1. Timeline tune-ups

This is very common among many facebook users. Whenever we update status in our timeline we either some words or complicate it.
For example:
I updated:-   "Happy Maolia Nabiyyi"
Instead of :-    "Happy Maolid Nabiyyi"
It happens quite a number of times, I'm a victim of it too.

You can simply fix
or delete the wrong update or comment.

How?

To correct or remove an item from your timeline or news feed,
- click on the status or comment at the down arrow that appears in the top right
corner.
- If you posted the item, you're given the option to edit or delete it. Depending on
the item, other options include Change Date, Add Location, Highlight, Reposition Photo, Hide from Timeline, and Report/Remove Tag.

Note:- When you change an item's date, it moves to that date on your timeline. Friends who are tagged in the item can change its date as well.

You can also manage your timeline by clicking Activity Log at the top of your Timeline or About pages.

Two dropdown menus in the top right corner of the log
entries for your posts let you change the audience for the item and edit it.

The edit options include highlighting, hiding/showing,
or deleting the post. Other options are  adding or changing the location, changing the date, and reporting/marking as spam.

Note that posts you've hidden from your timeline may appear on your news feed or
elsewhere, depending on how the items have been shared.

To prevent your friends from posting on your Facebook timeline, select the upper right
corner of any page and choose Account Settings. Click Timeline and Tagging in the left pane, choose Edit to the right of Who can post on your Timeline? and click Only
Me.

The Facebook Help Center describes other tools and settings that help you keep your timeline private.

2. Message management

Facebook gives us 4 different ways to communicate:

»» A status update that's viewed by the audience you select.
»» A post you write on a friend's timeline that's viewed by the audience your friend
has selected.
»» A comment on an item in your news feed that's viewed by the item's audience
»» A private message that's viewed only by the people you choose.

The easiest way to send a message to a friend or other Facebook user is to:
»» Click the message icon to the right of the search box at the top of any Facebook page.
The names of your most recent messaged Facebook feiends will appear.
»» Click Send a New Message and enter the recipient's name. Friends whose names
match the letters you type are then shown.

When you click See All at the bottom of the list of open messages, it will open your
Messages page, which you can also reach by clicking Messages in the left panel of your news feed.

On the Messages page, choose a friend in the left panel and start typing. Or choose New Message at the top of the window and type a name or e-mail address in the To field.
Friends and other Facebook users will again appear below as you type. So do past group conversations corresponding to the name you enter.

Click the Actions button to the right of New Message to open a menu with options for
deleting the selected message, and deleting or muting the conversation. Other options lets you open, move, or archive the message, or report it as spam or
abuse.

To open the chat sidebar on the desktop version of Facebook:
- Click the chat button in
the bottom-right corner of the window.
- Select a friend in the sidebar and start typing.
Click the gear icon at the bottom of the chat panel to open a menu with four options:
Chat
Sounds,
Advanced Settings,
Close All Chat Tabs, and
Turn Off Chat.

The advanced settings let you exclude people from your chat list, limit chat to the friends you select, or turn off chat.

To close the chat panel, click the hide-sidebar button to the right of the gear icon.

The Facebook Help Center's Sending a Message page explains that if the message
recipient has chat active, the message is delivered as a chat. If chat isn't active, the
message is sent to the person's message inbox and they receive a notification.

When you send a message to someone you haven't already connected with, the message
may be sent to the recipient's Other folder.

Facebook may allow you to pay to have the message delivered to the person's inbox. The cost of the service appears below the message, according to Facebook. (Note that I haven't tested or used this feature).

As part of its anti-spam efforts, Facebook automatically filters messages and sends some to your Other folder. To view the
filtered items,
click Messages in the left panel of your news feed and
choose Other in the top-left corner of the window.

To move a message to your inbox, either reply to the message or open it and choose Move to Inbox on the Actions drop-down menu.

preferences, click Edit Preferences under Other in the left panel and select either Basic Filtering or Strict Filtering. The Facebook Help Center's Messaging Settings & Security page explains both types of filtering.

3. Sharing options

When you update your status on Facebook, the icons below the text box let you tag
someone, change the date, add a location, upload a file, or choose an activity. You can
change the default audience for the post by selecting the audience button in the bottom right of the status box and choosing an
option from the dropdown menu: Public, Friends, Only Me, Close Friends, or Family.

To customize the audience for the post, click Custom to view a dropdown menu that lets you choose Friends of Friends, or Specific People, or Lists. Enter the names (or lists of people) you want to add. You can also exclude specific people or lists from the post's audience.

The three options for sharing photos are
Upload Photos/Videos,
Add Synced Photos, and Create Photo Album.
An upcoming post will explain your options for uploading,
sharing, and editing photos on Facebook.

To let the Facebook world know where you are, choose the Place icon and enter a
location, or choose one from the list of recent locations that appears under the text box.

You can also share life events in five categories:
Work & Education,
Life & Relationships,
Home & Living,
Health & Wellness, and
Travel & Experiences.
Each of these categories has several subcategories. My personal favorite life-event subcategory is Changed Beliefs under Travel & Experiences.

HOW TO SAVE YOUR PASSWORD OF ALL WEBSITES ON SAFARI BROWSER

Apple's Safari browser for
OS X, has some form of password management built-in, and when you visit a site that requests authentication, the browser should prompt you to save the entered credentials just like Opera mini.
However, some Websites may be specifically built so browsers will not store passwords.

This feature is common with some sites, such as banking and medical sites which contain private and sensitive information; however, there may be others that you use for more benign purposes, which still prevent Safari
from saving passwords.

When you encounter one of these sites, Safari may show you a small message at the point of password entry which claims the site has
requested Safari not save your password.
For these sites, Safari can still save the password, though it is not a default option.

How can I do this?

To do this,
- Go to the Passwords section of Safari's preferences.
- You will see a checkbox at the bottom of the window which says
"Allow AutoFill even for websites that request passwords not be saved."
- Check [√] this setting, and you should now be able to save your site's password.

Note:- With this setting, Safari
may try to save the passwords for financial
and medical services as well, so to prevent saving passwords for these sites due to security reasons you may
have to be a little more careful when prompted to save your password.

What if I mistakenly Save it?

If you do inadvertently save a
password, you can easily remove it by again going to the Passwords section in Safari's preferences, searching for the site, and then selecting it and clicking the Remove button. That's all.

The problem...

Tired of continuously receiving mails from stranger on your gmail? It can be so painful especially when you're using and Android device, your notification bar will be very busy.

No problem, the solution...

You can control or completely turn off this option.
A new feature has been introduced by google that would let anyone on Google+

- e-mail fellow users without having to find out their actual Gmail address.
-Respond to such an e-mail, and your address is then
revealed to the other person.

How can I do it?

1. Open your Gmail account, Click on the gear icon in the top right and select Settings from the menu.

2. In the General tab on the Settings page, look for the section that says: Email via
Google+.

3. Click on the dropdown menu next to "Who can email you via your Google+ profile?" You can pick one of four choices:
Anyone on Google+,
Extended Circles,
Circles, or
No One.
Make your selection and then click Save Changes at the
bottom of the page.

That's all...

But that's not all, what else?

Google has also posted a Help page to explain how to tweak this setting.
The new feature will roll out to all Gmail and Google+ users over the next couple of days, according to Google.

When that happens, you'll receive an e-mail with more information and a link
to the setting.

I hope you enjoy the post, kindly Share this post on Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Thanks.

3 EASY WAYS TO FIND YOUR MAC SERIAL NUMBER

Step 1:- Use the About This Mac information panel that's in the Apple menu.
Choose this option, then click the gray version string for
your installation of OS X. This will toggle the string between showing the OS version, the
OS build number, and your system's serial number.

Step 2 :- Use the System
Information utility's "About" panel.

This is available by clicking "More Info" in the "About This Mac" panel, or by opening the tool in the Applications » Utilities folder,
then pressing Command-i. With this panel open, you can see your Mac's model number
and some hardware information in the Overview section, along with your Mac's serial number.

The system information tool also generates an in-depth system report.
This is done by:
clicking the "System Report" button in the About panel, or by opening the System Information tool directly from the Finder.
In the report, you can click the
"Hardware" section (this is the default section), then in the "Hardware Overview"
you should see the serial number listed, as well as with other details such as processor, memory, and cache information.

Step 3 :- Look up the system's
serial number in the OS X Terminal.
This may be useful if you are logged into a remote system via SSH. To do this, you will
need to use the "system_profiler" command.
This command when used by itself will generate the same lengthy report that's produced when you open the System Information utility, so used alone it may offer too much information. However, you can limit its output to showing only hardware information (which contains the system's serial number) by running the following
version of the command:
system_profiler SPHardwareDataType
This command can be further refined by piping its output through "grep" and
filtering it to only show lines that contain the word "Serial," by the following command:
system_profiler SPHardwareDataType |
grep Serial

With these steps, you should be able to locate your Mac's serial number, which is useful for verifying eligibility for warranty service or other assistance offered by Apple.
