Optima Media Group, the organisers of reality TV show, Nigerian Idol, has announced the return of the singing competition for its fourth season.
“The fourth season of Nigerian Idol will be an even more exciting television experience. As the World’s
no 1 TV show, we are committed to ensuring that the standards from the past three seasons – in terms of
content, production and interactivity are surpassed with Season 4. This is Idol – it’s the real deal,”
said Rotimi Pedro of Optima.
He added that the show would kick off this January with auditions in Lagos, Benin, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Makurdi.
The winner of the show gets N7.5 million, a Galaxy Tab, a Blackberry, an iPod and a brand new SUV.
The first runner up gets N1.5 million, a Galaxy Tab, Blackberry and an iPod;
while the second runner up will receive N1 million, a Galaxy Tab, a Blackberry and an iPod.
In addition, other finalists, from fourth to tenth place will receive N100, 000, a Galaxy Tab, a Blackberry and an iPod.
The show airs from February and will close with the announcement of a winner at a grand gala in June.
